Raptors Head Coach Jay Triano and Fan 590 Morning Show Host Gord Stellick join business All-Stars at a very charitable golf tournament!

Toronto, On: May 25, 2010 -Reach for the Rainbow and Capital One are pleased to announce that Fan 590 morning show host Gord Stellick and Raptors Head Coach Jay Triano, will be joining one hundred of Canada’s corporate leaders at the Capital One Ultimate Charity Golf Challenge.

The Capital One Ultimate Charity Golf Challenge
is a two-day golf tournament being held at the beautiful Fox Harb’r Resort in Wallace, Nova Scotia. One hundred of Canada’s corporate leaders will come together to make a difference for the 13th year by playing in this prestigious tournament.

Triano and Stellick will challenge and entertain the elite field on the host hole and Stellick, the former General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, will also act as MC at the dinner and auction portion of the event.

“With Capital One already on board as our title sponsor, the addition of two of Toronto’s leading sports personalities, alongside the ongoing support of our corporate participants means this could be our most successful Ultimate Charity Golf Challenge ever,” said Donna Trella, Executive Director, Reach for the Rainbow.

“Capital One has been supporting Reach for the Rainbow for the past four years because by working together we are improving the lives of some very special children,” said Ian Cunningham, Capital One.  “I’d like to welcome Gord Stellick and Jay Triano to the tournament, and thank them for helping us to make this fundraising event a success.”

The Capital One Ultimate Charity Golf Challenge is the first luxury charity golf tournament of this caliber in North America. Players will be flown by private jet to Fox Harb’r to enjoy world class gifts and prizes, and shoot for the Closest-to-the-Pin prize of a 2011 BMW 128i Coupe!

Susan Hay, official spokesperson for Reach for the Rainbow, will be hosting a half-hour special on the tournament, airing August 30th on Global Television.

Fee: $2,999 per golfer
Live/Silent Auction: More than $100,000 in auction product and vacations

The Capital One Ultimate Charity Golf Challenge is a cornerstone fundraiser for Reach for the Rainbow, a charitable organization that raises money to support integrated recreational programs for children and young adults with physical and or developmental disabilities. Since its inception in 1987 it has provided opportunities for more than 10,000 individuals to attend summer camps across Ontario.
